Job Description:

The Communication & Interior Design Activity Leader plays a crucial role in inspiring and surprising visitors through strong visual impressions, supporting the IKEA brand identity to convert more visitors into customers. This role requires leading and developing teams focused on visual merchandising and range presentation competence. The successful candidate will manage the implementation of the vitality calendar, collaborate across teams to organize local events, and ensure the brand's unique identity is communicated effectively. The role will drive sales by implementing strategic marketing initiatives and optimize store activities to facilitate customer engagement and growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and inspire the Visual Merchandising and Interior Design teams to enhance their visual merchandising and range presentation skills
  • Support the teams in creating inspiring range presentation solutions that reflect life at home activities and are seasonally relevant
  • Manage the implementation of the vitality calendar in stores, coordinating with media and sales activity managers
  • Contribute to the department action plan to grow business and support the Vitality/Activity commercial calendar
  • Participate in the Commercial CAT team to implement activities effectively
  • Contribute to the regional Visual Merchandising Leaders network and share regional directions and global tools
  • Ensure IKEA uniqueness and brand identity in range presentation and store communication to differentiate from competitors
  • Use knowledge of the IKEA Concept and Swedish identity to plan and implement store solutions that support commercial priorities
  • Optimize sales by supporting local marketing initiatives and drive store traffic by aligning with the commercial calendar
  • Partner with other functions to organize meetings and activities, including new launches and seasonal events
  • Communicate relevant product and service information to co-workers for accurate customer communication
  • Develop and utilize communication channels for delivering key messages
  • Assist in crisis management by creating communication messages and FAQs
  • Identify target groups and ensure their information needs are met
  • Support IKEA FAMILY initiatives ensuring concept visibility and benefits throughout the store
  • Work with shopkeepers to maintain the IKEA FAMILY shop in optimal condition
  • Implement local commercial activities and workshops related to IKEA FAMILY
  • Ensure co-workers understand the impact of IKEA FAMILY membership on growth and profitability

  • Deliver IKEA FAMILY action plans based on local opportunities
  • Coordinate with Com&In and Marketing teams in Service Office for national marketing initiatives

Requirements:

  • University graduate with higher education qualifications preferred in Interior Design and Visual Merchandising
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in retail marketing or IKEA store environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Strong command of English, with Arabic being a preferred language
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills are essential
