Job Description

The position covers responsibility for the electrics & electronics commodity within a defined cluster and supports the organization across the full product life cycle, from project phase through serial production and aftersales.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsibility within the commodity electrics & electronics for a defined cluster during the full life cycle of products (project, serial, after sales)
  • Managing all purchasing activities in alignment with the commodity strategy
  • Cross functional collaboration with R&D, QM, SCM in a worldwide network at different locations
  • Professional preparation and independent implementation of purchasing negotiations up to the conclusion of contracts
  • Supporting the achievement of Cost-Quality-Delivery goals in development projects through early integration of high-performance suppliers
  • Follow up and steering of supplier performance
  • Observation and analysis of supply markets

Requirements

  • Completed studies, preferably in the field of industrial engineering, electrical engineering, business administration
  • Experience in strategic purchasing as well as in-depth knowledge of contract law
  • Skills and experience in project management, as well as a technical affinity for electrics & electronics would be highly appreciated
  • Comprehensive experience in negotiations
  • Confident English language skills
  • Willingness to travel worldwide, approx. 15%
