Job Description:

We are currently partnering with several multinational manufacturers in Malaysia who are expanding their sourcing and procurement teams. We're looking for experienced Commodity Managers with strong specialization in metal, plastic, or electronic components to lead strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies to drive cost savings, quality improvement, and supply continuity
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality) to align sourcing strategy with business needs
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and long-term agreements
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance (QCDS – Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability)
  • Drive localization projects and cost reduction initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / relevant discipline
  • 6–12 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management
  • Strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication, plastic injection, or electronic components
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills
