Job Description

We are looking for a Commissioning Site Lead with the following details : Work Location : Turkey then moving to Iraq. Work scheme : Residential in Turkey / Rotatonal 28 days ON x 28 days OFF in Iraq. Planned Start Date : July 2026. Duration :12 months, subject for extension. Preferably Local candidates.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Commissioning Manager in finalizing the Mobilization Plan, Recruitment of the CPY Commissioning Team, and ensuring HSE compliance
  • Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation, execution, and associated deliverables, ensuring they meet OPERCOM methodology and standards
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams, manage interfaces with other projects, and ensure successful execution of commissioning activities, meeting defined criteria for handover to Operations
  • During preparation (Engineering) phase: Assist in mobilization planning and recruitment of the CPY Commissioning Team
  • Address HSE aspects in commissioning risk assessments and validate contractor procedures for safety compliance
  • Review or approve pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation deliverables (plans, methods, procedures, drawings, lists) aligning with OPERCOM methodology
  • Oversee EPSCC CTR's preparation tasks, including scope, priorities, resources, and schedule
  • Approve Pre-commissioning and Commissioning dossiers, ensuring ICAPS database quality
  • Coordinate Commissioning discipline Leads and support NWP Pre-commissioning and Commissioning preparation
  • Validate team training and competency in COMPANY standards and commissioning methodology
  • Participate in engineering reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL), FAT sessions for critical equipment, and meetings related to commissioning preparation
  • Coordinate interfaces with NWP Commissioning Site Lead and address interface topics with other projects
  • Align with the Operations Team on interfacing topics
  • During execution phase: Promote and verify safety procedures and implementation of the Permit to Work/SIMOPS system
  • Manage the Owner witnessing of pre-Commissioning and Commissioning contractor activities
  • Countersign pre-Commissioning dossiers and review final Commissioning dossiers, signing transfer certificates
  • Track progress, punch clearance, and corrective actions aligned with the plan
  • Liaise with NWP and other interfacing projects for seamless execution and participate in project meetings
  • Ensure timely reporting, system readiness for Operations handover, documentation completion, and performance testing
  • Document and share lessons learned, supporting continuous improvement
  • Drive progress toward achieving or exceeding the Ready for Start-Up date
  • Foster collaboration, shared goals, and joint problem-solving with contractors

Requirements

  • Total Experience Required: 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Project activities
  • Relevant Experience Required: Proven track records of several successful assignments on similar office/site positions
  • Industry-Specific Experience: Extensive experience with onshore installation in Oil and Gas
  • Minimum Qualification Required: Diploma/Degree in Engineering
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (absolute mandatory)
  • Knowledge in OPERCOMTM Methodology and ICAPS© software is mandatory
  • Previous project experience with Oil and Water Treatment, LP to HP gas compressors, and Gas Dehydration
  • Vast experience in monitoring large Oil & Gas EPCC Contractors at site from a client perspective
