The Commissioning Professional leads the commissioning team to verify the building systems are designed, constructed and operate to meet the owner's operational needs and the engineer's design intent. The Commissioning Professional will frequently interact with the owner, owner's representatives, construction teams, and design teams to meet the goals and fulfill the commissioning duties and responsibilities.
Job Responsibility
Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility operators to review design documents, develop commissioning plans, and conduct field observations and system testing
Conduct performance tests on systems and equipment and ensure proper training for the building's operational staff
Identify and participate in the resolution to issues that arise during the commissioning process, facilitating communication between all stakeholders involved in the project
Conduct energy audits and facility condition assessments to identify inefficiencies and deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients regarding the commissioning process, energy audit/facility condition assessment recommendations, and other project-related technical topics
Other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3 years experience in commissioning, mechanical design, or related field within AE or Construction
Familiarity of HVAC, plumbing, building automation and electrical systems
Knowledge of energy-related systems, tools, and principles
Professional Engineer (PE), commissioning certification, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) a plus
