Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Planning Engineer to support a major UK infrastructure programme based in Bridgwater, Somerset. Working within a high-performing Project Controls and Planning team, this role will support the planning and coordination of commissioning activities on a large and complex construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with strong Primavera P6 experience and a background in major infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing and maintaining integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Ensuring schedules are fully logic-linked and aligned with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Supporting the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) and ensuring updates are delivered in line with reporting cycles
  • Providing schedule analysis and performance reporting
  • Supporting trend and change management processes
  • Identifying and resolving time-related risks and scheduling issues
  • Collaborating with wider Project Controls disciplines including Cost, Risk and Estimating
  • Producing schedule reports and commentary for programme teams and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling on major construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong experience using Primavera P6
  • Understanding of construction or engineering planning methodologies
  • Experience producing fully logic-linked project schedules
  • Knowledge of earned value and performance reporting
  • Understanding of contract frameworks such as NEC or FIDIC
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure programmes
  • Knowledge of schedule risk analysis
  • Familiarity with tools such as Acumen Fuse, Synchro, Power BI or EcoSys
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
