This role is an integral part of a busy and dynamic team working within Adult Social Care Commissioning. As a Commissioning Officer (Quality) you will hold an agreed caseload of providers, for whom you will act as the primary contact on quality assurance matters. You will be responsible for carrying out quality assurance assessments in line with agreed processes, supporting improvements and taking action where appropriate. The caseload of providers for this post is primarily across the Gloucester and Forest of Dean localities of the county but travel outside of these areas will sometimes be required.
Job Responsibility:
Hold an agreed caseload of providers as primary contact on quality assurance matters
Carry out quality assurance assessments in line with agreed processes
Support improvements and take action where appropriate
Work with organisations providing services for older people, people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism, physical and sensory disabilities
Ensure high-quality health & social care and support is delivered and maintained
Work alongside system partners such as social care operations, safeguarding, the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
Requirements:
Experience of working within health and/or social care services
Strong practical knowledge of the practices required to operate safe and compliant adult social care services
Familiar and confident of working with a multi-disciplinary approach to manage and mitigate risk
Keen eye for detail and able to apply judgement and objectivity in complex and difficult situations
Great communication skills and comfortable liaising with stakeholders across the sector
Ability to lead and direct challenging conversations to support and coordinate improvement
Act as an advocate for team and organisational aims
