Job Description

The Commissioning Mechanical Superintendent (China locals only) leads all mechanical construction and commissioning activities on site. The role ensures delivery is in line with HSSE, quality, and schedule targets while coordinating across project stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee all mechanical construction & commissioning activities in accordance with approved scope and schedule
  • Supervise daily site operations, including workforce, materials, and equipment utilization
  • Lead inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure full compliance with HSSE policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Manage and assess changes to scope or execution plans
  • Maintain accurate records including progress reports, HSSE documentation, and QA/QC data
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to supervisors and site teams
  • Coordinate with project management and third-party stakeholders to resolve issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Proven experience in mechanical construction and commissioning within oil & gas / EPC projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and site execution processes
  • Demonstrated capability in team leadership and supervision

Nice to have

FSO/FPSO related project experience is a plus

  • Engineering degree (Master’s degree preferred) with strong leadership capabilities
