Commissioning Manager

Provide accurate, thorough commissioning and verification for project systems to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business

• Proactively review necessary projects to eliminate potential system problems before a project is turned over to the owner
• Under the direction of the General Superintendent, coordinate with the Project Manager to schedule all startup, TAB, and commissioning activities for assigned projects
• Also, when directed, act as ICS’ spokesperson for project completion status
• Create, execute, and supervise project commissioning guidelines and deadlines
• Participate in and manage onsite meetings for commissioning/startup
• Develop and oversee proper system functions by verifying design intent and manufacturer recommendations
• Troubleshoot and ensure quality solutions to system issues
• Assist and guide the project team (including subcontractors) in outlining individual responsibilities
• Investigate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide technical support for any discrepancies found
• Work closely with the project foreman or general foreman to ensure accurate project communication
• Schedule and manage owner training when necessary
• Maintain closeout documents and provide updated forms when necessary
• Ensure safe working practices by identifying and mitigating possible hazardous situations
• Complete the job safety checklist
• Hold ICS team members accountable
• Lead the interviewing and hiring decisions for startup and commissioning technicians
• Develop and conduct technical training sessions
• Assign startup Technicians to Projects
