Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new 70+ bedded residential and dementia care home in Nottingham. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new service, recruit and develop a dedicated team, and ensure the home delivers the highest standards of care.

Job Responsibility

  • Commission and operationally lead the new service, covering residential and dementia care
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing staff team to deliver outstanding care
  • Ensure CQC readiness from day one, embedding strong governance and compliance frameworks
  • Drive occupancy and financial performance, ensuring long-term success and sustainability
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, residents, families, and other key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager, Business Development Manager, or Home Manager in residential or dementia care
  • Strong marketing, commissioning, and occupancy growth experience within the care sector
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards) preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in CQC compliance, team development, and driving occupancy
  • Strong leadership, communication, and commercial skills
  • Compassionate, approachable, and committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences
