Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning process of our state-of-the-art data center facilities. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for managing all commissioning activities for new data center projects, ensuring systems are designed, installed, tested, and operated according to the specified requirements. This role will collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to achieve project milestones and operational readiness

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in implementing the commissioning strategy at DATA4
  • Support the commissioning process for data center projects, including systems such as electrical, mechanical, and BMS
  • Help develop and implement commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and successful commissioning
  • Conduct site inspections and functional testing of systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning process
  • Ensure documentation is well prepared and maintained, including commissioning reports and system performance data
  • Provide training and support to operations staff on system functionality and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices throughout the commissioning process
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in commissioning practices and technologies
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on commissioning aspects of data centers
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders across various departments

  • Communicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in data center mechanical systems and processes
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and best practices to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization
  • Represent DATA4 in front of our final customer regarding commissioning strategy, process, and projects
  • Assist in defining and updating the process, inputs, workflows, and outputs (templates, references, decisions, roles and responsibilities, sub-processes)
  • Document the process at the operating level (operating manual)
  • Describe digital needs, then requirements and their priority
  • Establish test steps to validate digital needs once delivered (follow up with defects up to resolution)
  • Outline end-to-end test scenarios, execute and validate applying the process into a pilot
  • Participate in end-to-end tests performed at the solution level (e.g., when a new release needs to be tested)
  • Listen to the process and to PM community/users (Voice of the Process, Voice of the User), identify improvement opportunities, and implement them
  • Communicate to Solution Manager process needs or effects at the solution level
  • Respect and enforce certification policies in terms of: H&S: Respect and enforce health and safety rules
  • Environment: Respect and enforce environmental policies
  • Information Security: Respect and enforce information security policies
  • Energy: Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in commissioning management, preferably in data center or critical facility environments
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems in data centers
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations related to data center operations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)) is a plus
  • English: fluent
