Commissioning Machinery Assistant (Static) executes the activities pertaining to his / her discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations and following the stated procedures. He / she reports to the Commissioning Machinery Supervisor. He / she is assigned to the Project by AVIMP Head of Department.
Job Responsibility:
Implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for static equipment
Execute with the assigned crew from the subcontractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline
Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables
Ensure the execution of vendor’s specialists’ field activities with the assigned resources from the subcontractor as per vendor’s representative plan
Carry out the equipment inspection with client representative as per the procedures and ensure proper certification is produced
Prepare the forms for all the tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates, duly signed by involved parties for final handover to the certification engineer (QA / QC)
Coordinate in field with the vendor representatives
Keep record of all the activities carried out
Ensuring the safety practices are strictly followed during the execution of activities
Reporting the progress and constraints to the mechanical supervisor
Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit to work procedure
Assistance to supervisor for expediting of pending punch list Items in accordance with commissioning manager (CMM) priorities
Assistance to supervisor for coordination and supervision of construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil & gas plants / EPC projects
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, management skills
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
