We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Commissioning Lead (Electrical) specialising in Onshore LNG Project. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide guidance and support Electrical Commissioning oversight and direction to the project's main contractor and sub vendors
  • Collaborate and interface with Facilities Team and EPC contractor engineers and Operation personnel
  • Provide coverage for multiple EPCs workshops, shop inspections and factory testing when and where required
  • Oversee all aspects of the Contractor Electrical Commissioning team and provide oversight and guidance for the delivery of the Comp 3 Scope in Doha
  • Reports to Head of Commissioning
  • Coordinate the activities of the EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors
  • Support tendering process for EPC ITTs and develop EPC ITT packages for electrical discipline
  • Support various EPC PMTs by reviewing documents and/or attending workshops/meetings
  • Analyse technical attachments and scope description of all electrical related purchase orders
  • Maintains close liaison with NFPS Electrical Leads, QE OPCO, Head of Facilities and Facilities Team counterparts
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects
  • Assesses Contractor capability and ensures Electrical system engineering or other technical support is available
  • Stewards the Electrical system engineering schedule and critical milestones
  • Verifies that the EPCs Contractor provides all contract documents for Electrical system scope
  • Verifies that the EPCs Contractor controls the Electrical system scope

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
  • 10 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, or oversight of service/vendor personnel
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies
  • Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures
  • Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, precommissioning, commissioning and Systems completion
  • Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical Specification compliance
  • Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc
  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc
  • Experience in start-up support to Operation
