Job Description:

Select Offshore is looking for experienced HV Technicians to join the commissioning team of a major offshore wind project. Based at a U.S.-based pre-installation port, this role will focus on SWG (Switchgear) testing and HV commissioning tasks on installed turbines. Working under the supervision of Commissioning Supervisors and Managers, you will be responsible for executing HV commissioning activities safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with recognized standards and project protocols.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform high-voltage commissioning and completion tasks on wind turbines
  • Conduct switchgear testing and system verification activities
  • Follow procedures and work instructions provided by commissioning leadership
  • Ensure all HV work is carried out to relevant industry and safety standards
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and progress tracking
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless handover
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and quality checks
  • Support incident reporting and proactive risk management on site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HV testing or commissioning on wind turbines or power systems
  • Familiarity with switchgear, protection systems, and energization processes
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance with HV safety protocols
  • Good technical documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a high-performing site-based commissioning team
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Offshore wind or renewable energy experience preferred
