Job Description

As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our systems are installed, tested and delivered to the highest standard before handover to our customers. This is a hands-on, site-based role based in Cowes, Isle of White. It will include regular UK and international travel to customer sites.

Job Responsibility

  • Commissioning, testing and final acceptance of monitoring systems both in-house and on site
  • Configuring hardware and software, including sensors and data acquisition systems
  • Calibrating and validating load, strain and structural monitoring equipment
  • Fault-finding and resolving technical issues during commissioning
  • Producing commissioning documentation, reports and handover packs
  • Supporting installation activities alongside engineering and project teams
  • Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and customer requirements
  • Representing Strainstall professionally on customer sites

Requirements

  • An Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent experience)
  • An Electrical background
  • An understanding of industrial electronics or automation
  • To be comfortable and able to work at heights and in confined spaces when needed
  • Good communication skills
  • To be comfortable working independently
