Job Description

As a Commissioning Engineer, Mechanical at Crusoe.ai, you will support the successful commissioning of the mechanical systems for our data center construction projects. You will contribute to the execution of commissioning activities, ensuring all critical infrastructure performs as designed and meets our reliability standards. Your work will help safeguard the uptime and efficiency of our AI infrastructure.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the development and execution of detailed commissioning plans for data center construction projects, with a focus on mechanical systems, including coordination with electrical and control systems
  • Coordinate with third party commissioning agents as directed
  • Execute the commissioning process for mechanical systems, from pre-functional testing through integrated systems testing and final acceptance
  • Coordinate with design engineers, construction teams, and vendors to support integration and commissioning of all systems
  • Review mechanical design documents, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with commissioning requirements
  • Support commissioning schedules and test plans to ensure milestones are met
  • Perform functional testing and performance verification of critical mechanical systems, documenting results and escalating deficiencies as needed
  • Track and support resolution of commissioning-related issues, proactively identifying risks
  • Ensure commissioning activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Assist with commissioning reports and documentation, providing accurate records of testing and performance

Requirements

  • Experience commissioning critical infrastructure, particularly data center mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems related to data center operations
  • Experience supporting commissioning activities on complex construction projects
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with solid problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator and team player, able to work with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for commissioning
  • Experience executing commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts

Nice to have

Exposure to concurrent maintainability testing is a plus
