Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a Commissioning Broker to join a fast-paced and impactful team supporting adults and children's care services. You will play a key role in connecting individuals with appropriate care and support services, working closely with families, professionals, hospitals, and care providers to secure safe, timely, and high-quality placements. This is a rewarding role where your work directly contributes to improving outcomes for vulnerable people across Gloucestershire.

Job Responsibility

  • Support safe and timely hospital discharges in collaboration with partner agencies
  • Manage a varied and sometimes complex caseload
  • Commission and source appropriate care packages and placements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across multiple systems
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Monitor provider performance and ensure quality standards are met
  • Work closely with managers and colleagues to improve processes and service delivery
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
