Job Responsibility:
Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
Prepare cold foods
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Test foods to determine if cooked sufficiently
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Set-up and break down work station
Serve food in proper portions
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Check temperature of appliances and food
Follow company safety and security policies
Report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Speak with others using clear professional language
Develop positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
