Job Description:

Prepare and serve food with attention to quality, standards, and recipes as part of the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel team. Ensure professional appearance and adherence to safety policies while supporting the team and fostering positive relationships.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
Serve food in proper portions
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Set-up and break down work station
Wash and disinfect kitchen tools and areas
Follow safety and company policies
Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance
Develop positive relationships with team members
Respond appropriately to team concerns.

Requirements:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
Prepare cold foods
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Set-up and break down work station
Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Check and ensure correctness of appliance and food temperature
Follow all company and safety policies
Complete safety training and certifications
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Maintain uniform and personal appearance to be clean and professional
Develop positive working relationships
Support the team to achieve common goals
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing a maximum of 25 pounds without assistance.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience.
