Keeps in contact with wine storeroom to ensure availability and correctness of products
Assist the main Sommelier with purveyors to stay informed of product availability, potential new products, discounts, etc.
Assist with the monitoring of wine inventories
Performs server’s duties when scheduled
Responds properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
Demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness
Attends all scheduled training sessions
Requirements:
Technical education in Hospitality Management
1-2 years of relevant experience in 5 star hotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
WSET diploma basic is required
Working knowledge of wines as well as menu items and their preparation
