Commis I position at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, assisting in kitchen operations, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and working as part of the culinary team.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in creating and preparing menus items and specials
Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation
Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
Ensure that all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored
Follow all health and safety protocols in the kitchen
Work collaboratively with other members of the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Requirements:
Minimum two years culinary or related work experience
Cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Good communication and teamwork skills, proficiency in English
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Flexibility in working hours, as the role may involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
