Job Description:

Reporting into the Room Service Manager, you will be responsible for preparing food and beverage orders, delivering trolleys and trays to guests in their rooms according to standards as per HACCP system. You will be placing food and beverage amenities to the guests’ rooms, collecting trolleys and trays from rooms in a timely manner. You will be supporting the Chef de Rang - Room Service as needed in describing the food and beverage selection to our guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste and preparation methods.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare food and beverage orders
  • Deliver trolleys and trays to guests in their rooms according to standards as per HACCP system
  • Place food and beverage amenities to guests’ rooms
  • Collect trolleys and trays from rooms in a timely manner
  • Support Chef de Rang - Room Service in describing food and beverage selection
  • Greet guests and describe selected items
  • Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware
  • Respond to request for tray removal
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature
  • Properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year food service or related work
  • Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills
  • Be a team player
  • Bring personal touch and energy to InRoom Dining experiences
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • English language
  • Other languages are appreciated
