Job Description:

Our Commis de Rang – In Room Dining is a key member of the Food & Beverage team, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and personalized service directly to our guests’ rooms. This role supports the In Room Dining service by ensuring timely, discreet, and high-standard delivery and setup of meals, in full compliance with HACCP guidelines and the Hotel’s standards of excellence, creating a seamless and guest-centric experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality preparation, delivery, and presentation of in-room dining orders, including trays, trolleys, linens, china, glassware, and cutlery, maintaining an elegant and discreet service style
  • Set up in-room dining service (tables or trolleys) according to hotel standards, ensuring cleanliness, order, and attention to detail
  • Clear and retrieve trays and trolleys from guest rooms promptly and unobtrusively, maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas
  • Check and refill condiment containers and minibar or IRD amenities when required, in compliance with HACCP and hotel standards
  • Support the service team by delivering beverages, dishes, and amenities efficiently while ensuring accuracy of orders
  • Provide a warm and professional in-room welcome, explaining the setup when appropriate and responding promptly to guest requests
  • Anticipate guest needs and ensure all requests are fulfilled in a timely and courteous manner
  • Maintain continuous communication and coordination with the kitchen and Chef de Rang to ensure all orders meet quality and presentation standards
  • Ensure all In Room Dining equipment, pantries, and service areas are kept clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Contribute to a seamless and high-end guest experience by upholding the hotel's service philosophy and standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Basic knowledge of In Room Dining or restaurant service standards and procedures
  • Good understanding of HACCP regulations and hygiene standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Good command of Italian and English
