Job Responsibility:
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner pastry and dessert items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment
According to Guest orders, prepare pastry and dessert items of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
complete mise en place and set up the pastry station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
Assist in the preparation of pastry components such as creams, doughs, batters, fillings, and garnishes as required for the next shift
Prepare pastry items ahead of time when required, ensuring production does not exceed estimated needs and freshness standards are maintained
Operate, maintain, and properly clean pastry and kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, food processors, blast chillers, proofers, chocolate tempering machines, refrigerators, freezers, piping tools, and baking molds
Requirements:
High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education with a focus on pastry, or equivalent experience
Ability to operate, maintain, and properly clean pastry and kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, food processors, blast chillers, proofers, and chocolate tempering equipment
Basic pastry techniques knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Work knowledge is generally learned on the job
Must possess the legal right to work in Italy
