At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a dedicated Pastry Commis to join our Kitchen Department for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). This role plays a key part in supporting the production of high-quality pastries and desserts that delight our guests and uphold the hotel’s world-class culinary standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of all pastry items according to the standards set by the Pastry Chef
  • Participate in creating and maintaining miseen place levels, produce tasting menus, and contribute to special occasion cakes as required
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients
  • Maintain the pastry kitchen in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition, following all hygiene and safety guidelines
  • Use pastry equipment correctly, including mixers, ovens, sheeters, and blenders, while assisting in training staff on their proper use
  • Work closely with the Pastry Chef, Demi Chef de Partie, and all kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth operations and uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece
  • Previous experience in a similar pastry role is an advantage
  • Knowledge of basic pastry techniques, yeasted products, laminated dough, and basic décor techniques
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Food Service Sanitation certification is an asset

Nice to have:

proficiency in Greek is an advantage
