Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a professional and fast-paced kitchen environment. Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Sous Chef in food preparation
  • Ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced
  • Help source necessary ingredients and small equipment items
  • Minimise wastage
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Ensure safe food handling practices are followed
  • Report directly to the Head Chef
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Perform any tasks assigned
  • Assist during busy periods
  • Communicate and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred
