Caledonian is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen teams at our hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food and looking to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry within a supportive and professional environment.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting with the preparation and production of food items in line with agreed standards
Preparing Breaksfast 5 days a week as well as assisted with evening service
Working collaboratively as part of the wider kitchen and restaurant team
Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to a high standard and within required timeframes
Having a good understanding of the daily menu and your responsibilities within it
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area, including correct storage of ingredients and equipment
Adhering to food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times
Complying with hotel policies, procedures and health & safety regulations
Requirements:
Have a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Be a reliable team player with a willingness to support colleagues
Show a genuine passion for food and hospitality
Be flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns, including weekends and holidays
