We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will work alongside a talented kitchen brigade delivering high-quality food and memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Job Responsibility
Assist with food preparation and cooking across different kitchen sections
Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to agreed standards
Support senior chefs during service periods
Maintain excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
Ensure all food storage and stock rotation procedures are followed
Keep workstations clean, organised, and safe at all times
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
Help deliver exceptional dining experiences for hotel guests
Requirements
Passion for food, cooking, and hospitality
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Nice to have
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
Qualification or current studies in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or a related discipline
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
Experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting
