About your role: As a Junior Sous Chef, you are the right hand of the Head Chef and play a key role in the daily operation of the kitchen. You actively work alongside the team and take the lead when the Head Chef is absent. Together, you ensure that our guests enjoy high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. You work with dishes inspired by the Cali Baja kitchen: modern, fresh, and full of flavor. Job Responsibility:
Actively work in the kitchen and support daily operations
Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Prepare and present dishes with a strong focus on quality and consistency
Contribute to the development of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banqueting menus
Ensure compliance with hygiene and HACCP guidelines within the F&B department
Coach, train, and motivate colleagues on the work floor
Manage stock, place orders, and monitor product quality
Contribute ideas for improvements, efficiency, and innovation in the kitchen
Requirements:
Experience as a (Demi) Chef de Partie or (Junior) Sous Chef
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Flexible and stress-resistant in a dynamic environment
Ambitious, creative, and quality-driven
Good knowledge of HACCP and kitchen structure
Fluent in English (the Head Chef speaks English)
