Commis Chef

• Preparing and presenting dishes to company specifications, maintaining excellent standards of cookery and service
• Keeping your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic throughout service
• Checking and recording food temperatures accurately, following company processes
• Completing food prep before and during service, and restocking as needed
• Supporting portion control and minimising food waste to help maximise profit
• Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries safely, following stock rotation and food safety guidelines
• Communicating clearly and professionally with the whole kitchen team to support a positive working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures including allergen policies, hygiene standards, correct equipment use, and incident reporting
• Completing deep‑clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef

• Experience in high‑volume food preparation and cooking (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
• Passion for producing great food and delivering unforgettable guest experiences
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
• A Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
