Tombo Den is seeking a talented commis chef to join our team. Work with a supportive and passionate team. You will be driven and genuinely passionate about cooking. Job Responsibility:

Access to the finest, freshest ingredients to create high-quality sushi dishes

Requirements:

Experience as a Commis Chef in an a-la-carte restaurant
Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information
Japanese cuisine experience highly regarded
Good communication and immaculate presentation
A positive attitude, resilient and adaptable to change
Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S
Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques
Attention to detail
Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
Calm and composed demeanour
Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
Available to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

Nice to have:

Japanese cuisine experience
