Job Responsibility:
Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, following recipes and presentation guidelines
Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals
Adhere to food hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times
Receive and store deliveries, checking the quality and freshness of all ingredients
Participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions to continually improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a team player attitude
Strong attention to detail and a passion for food quality and presentation
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required
Nice to have:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
