Join White Rabbit Projects as Commis Chef – Start Your Culinary Career at 18, St Andrews. At White Rabbit Projects, we create hospitality experiences rooted in quality, creativity, and teamwork. 18, the rooftop restaurant at Rusacks St Andrews, delivers bold, seasonal dishes with breathtaking views over the Old Course and West Sands. We’re now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen brigade and develop their skills in a high-performing, quality-led environment. If you’re passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to build your culinary career in one of Scotland’s most iconic destinations, this is your opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting chefs with food preparation and daily mise en place
  • Learning to cook and present dishes to brand standards
  • Supporting different kitchen sections during service
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and food safety compliance
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation, and storage
  • Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service

Requirements:

  • Passion for food and hospitality
  • Previous kitchen experience or culinary training preferred but not essential
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to remain organised and calm during busy service
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
  • Commitment to high standards and personal growth
