Job Description:

Marriott Hotels is looking for a Commis Chef who will prepare and cook food according to quality standards, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for guests. In this role, you will operate kitchen equipment, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support team collaboration while upholding Marriott's industry-leading hospitality standards.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
cook food according to recipes and quality standards
operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
monitor food quality
clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment
maintain professional appearance and adhere to company policies
collaborate effectively with team members

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
adherence to company and safety policies
ability to use professional communication skills
ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and fryers
ability to manage food preparation tasks following recipes and standards
