WHO ARE WE? Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace. We are looking for a dilligent Pastry Commis Chef to join our exceptional Culinary team. The on target earning potential for this role is £34,493.47 per annum based on a 45 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £28,643.47 plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE. HERE'S A BIT MORE DETAIL ON WHAT WE SEE YOU DOING IN THIS ROLE: You will produce pastry and bakery items for all of the restaurants food concepts at Estelle Manor. You will assist and engage with the kitchens senior leadership in managing all food related standards, health and safety ensuring the guests and members experience is always exceptional and memorable. Working in the pastry section of the Kitchen preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following our recipes. Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be modern, beautiful, exciting and appetising. Being responsible for effective stock control within the Pastry section and to control and record all wastage. Having good communication skills and proficiently liaising with all departments on an ongoing basis; close relationships with front of house operational teams. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
