Job Description:

Commis Chef position in cold kitchen preparing ingredients, cooking food according to recipes and standards, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining clean and safe work environment at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards
Prepare cold foods
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Test foods to determine if cooked sufficiently
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Set-up and break down work station
Serve food in proper portions
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Check temperature of appliances and food
Follow company safety and security policies
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries
Complete safety training and certifications

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
