Job Description:

Commis (Bakery) role at W Maldives involves preparing and cooking food items according to high standards; maintaining food logs; assisting in employee training and cooperation; adhering to safety policies; ensuring quality food presentation; and addressing guest service needs.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
maintain food logs
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
communicate assistance needed during busy periods
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
follow company and safety policies
maintain confidentiality
develop and maintain positive working relationships
anticipate and address guests’ service needs.

Requirements:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
communicate assistance needed during busy periods
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
follow company safety and security policies
speak with others using clear and professional language
develop and maintain positive working relationships
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
technical, trade, or vocational school degree required
at least 3 years of related work experience.
