Job Description:

Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes and quality standards in a professional and collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
operate kitchen equipment
test foods for proper cooking
monitor and maintain food quality
clean and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment
set-up and break down work stations
maintain a professional uniform and appearance
collaborate with team members to achieve goals
report maintenance issues and safety concerns
adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
monitor food quality while preparing food
set-up and break down work station
serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
follow company safety and security policies and procedures
report maintenance needs and unsafe work conditions
complete safety training
ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
develop and maintain positive working relationships
support team to reach common goals
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
move and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience.
