Job Description:

CSIRO is seeking a Commercialisation Manager to work across boundaries in sourcing, identifying, and delivering commercialisation opportunities within CSIRO's Future Industries portfolio, including Manufacturing, Health & Biosecurity, the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness, Science Connect, and Agriculture and Food research units.

Job Responsibility:

Implement a Partnerships and Business Development strategy that drives impactful innovation and science
Work on commercialisation across the full scope of the FI sector activities
Engage the research portfolio management process to identify and prioritise commercial opportunities
Develop and implement commercialisation plans and partnerships
Ensure legal, ethical and professional practices together with CSIRO values and Code of Conduct are adhered to
Provide persuasive, commercially sound, professional advice and solutions
Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary, regionally dispersed team

Requirements:

A relevant degree in conjunction with demonstrated achievement in senior advisory and managerial roles in the relevant portfolio
Exceptional business and commercial acumen with contemporary experience in commercialising technologies through complex licences, royalty, equity and venture creation transactions
Highly developed networks with industry, entrepreneurs, investors and others in the start-up ecosystem
Ability to lead, advise and mentor colleagues in appropriate commercialisation pathways
A demonstrated history of professional and respectful behaviours and attitudes aligned to CSIRO values
Superior interpersonal, coaching, systems thinking, communication, negotiation and consultative skills
Demonstrated experience in successful project management, including planning, engagement, monitoring and reporting
Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required
Current Australian Drivers licence
Ability to obtain an Australian Financial Services (AFS) Licence
