Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is partnering with a well-established client in Coleraine to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional workshop environment where your skills will be valued and developed.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a fleet of HGVs
  • Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Complete repairs efficiently and in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Undertake electrical work, strip-downs, and rebuilds
  • Work collaboratively with the parts team to ensure correct components are used
  • Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and time records
  • Identify and report vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Support apprentices and trainees as required
  • Road test vehicles and attend breakdowns when necessary (if qualified)

Requirements

  • Time-served HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
