Job Description:

As a Commercial Truck Frame Technician at Fraser River Paint & Body Ltd, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring the structural integrity of commercial truck frames. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of these vehicles on the road.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial truck frames to identify any signs of damage, corrosion, or structural weaknesses
  • Utilize advanced tools and techniques to repair and restore damaged or compromised truck frames, including welding, cutting, and frame straightening
  • Perform frame alignment procedures to ensure proper alignment and geometry, maximizing vehicle stability and handling
  • Execute precision welding and fabrication tasks to reinforce weakened areas or fabricate custom components as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and modifications performed on commercial truck frames, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Work closely with other members of the repair team, including mechanics, painters, and estimators, to coordinate workflow and deliver comprehensive repair solutions to customers
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues, including proper handling of tools and hazardous materials.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial truck frame repair and restoration, with a strong understanding of frame construction and repair techniques
  • Possession of relevant certifications in welding, frame repair, or automotive repair is highly desirable
  • Ability to meticulously inspect and diagnose frame issues, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting frame-related problems and devising effective repair solutions to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals
