Job Description:

The team in South Africa, Johannesburg is looking for a Commercial Support to support our trading team focused on Pulp & Paper markets across Africa. In this role, you will be a key partner to our traders, ensuring smooth commercial operations and continuity across our dedicated markets. You will play a central role in coordinating commercial activities and supporting logistics and financial follow-up, all within a fast-paced international trading environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support traders in preparing commercial offers and quotations
  • Request prices and freight rates from suppliers and shipping lines
  • Follow up on dedicated markets to ensure business continuity when team members are travelling or on leave
  • Monitor ongoing trading activities and ensure smooth execution of deals
  • Track shipments and liaise with shipping lines when required
  • Support the commercial team on matters related to finance, compliance, and logistics
  • Assist with creating new clients in internal systems
  • Help create detailed order templates for processing by the operations team
  • Handle and analyze large volumes of pricing data, freight rates, and commercial information
  • Maintain close communication with internal stakeholders and external partners

Requirements:

  • Background in logistics, international trade, or supply chain
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Supply Chain
  • +3 years of experience in a commercial support role
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large amounts of data
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
