Job Responsibility
Leading the negotiation and execution of complex commercial contracts and service agreements to ensure seamless operational delivery
Identifying, managing, and mitigating commercial risks before they arise within the program
Collaborating with site-based stakeholders, senior executives, and local suppliers to hit the ground running and deliver immediate outcomes on the ground
Procuring a diverse range of services and materials essential to maritime sustainment and complex industrial programs
Taking a highly autonomous, hands-on approach to support the wider commercial team, allowing them to focus purely on keeping the main programs operational.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years' of extensive commercial management experience, ideally within defence
Comfort working autonomously as a 'doer' in fast-paced, high-risk environments
Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility, you will need the ability to collaborate effectively with busy senior leaders, internal project managers, and site staff
A strong capacity to negotiate, manage subcontract agreements, and oversee end-to-end commercial operations
Due to strict industry regulations, applicants must be Australian Citizens. An active Defence clearance is highly advantageous.
