Job Description

We are seeking a detail-focused Commercial Settlement Analyst to support settlement activities for International Voice Carriers. In this role, the individual will manage monthly settlements, analyse bilateral deal positions, and deliver accurate reporting while identifying risks and opportunities to enhance cash flow and profitability. The position is ideal for someone with accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare monthly settlements, bilateral deal positions, and deal true-ups at the end of each deal period in line with operational priorities
  • Manage a designated portfolio of carriers, ensuring timely settlements and resolving billing or settlement disputes
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Technical Integrity, Reporting, and external partners to proactively address issues and deliver optimal outcomes
  • Contribute to departmental KPIs while supporting team members and preventing single points of failure
  • Ensure accurate revenue and cost reporting, including capturing disputes, risks, and opportunities

Requirements

  • Experienced in accounting functions within large, process-based industries, ideally telecoms
  • Skilled at communicating with finance and non-finance stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Comfortable working with international partners and using culturally sensitive communication styles
  • Knowledgeable in commercial settlement processes
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant, or you bring equivalent industry experience

  • Participate and lead process implementation of daily, weekly and monthly settlements of physical and financial trading activities (Accounts Payable/Receivable)

  • Monitor power and natural gas transactions to ensure they are correctly captured in the transaction management system, ensuring data quality, deal confirmation and communicating impacts to commercial and accounting teams
  • Understand contract details, fees, rates, and payment schedules to ensure all items for settlement are captured in a timely manner
  • Reconcile RTO/ISO statements to estimates and ensure all costs are correctly allocated to the proper generation assets
  • Develop reporting methodology to accurately present realized fees and P&L to Front Office, Middle Office and Portfolio Management teams
  • Assure accuracy and integrity of activity recorded in general ledger
