We are currently looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our Trade team in NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sales strategy and sales excellence within the region, focusing on customers that include commercial builders, architects, commercial contractors and STRATA agencies. Reporting through to the State Business Manager, this role will also be responsible for managing a sales team of 10 people, including Business Development Managers and Account Managers. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with the wider professional architectural team to ensure maximum value is added to the ANZ Architectural strategy and external customers. This is a Sydney based role, with large amounts of time spent on the road visiting customers and working with team members. Quarterly regional travel will also be required.
Job Responsibility
Overall leadership for achievement of goals aligned to the Commercial business in NSW
Develop and support initiatives towards the achievement of PPG's profit and growth targets for the Commercial business channel
Actively coordinate activities for growth and best practice between clients and PPG
Develop and implement tactical sales improvement plans
Monitoring and reporting of changing market dynamics, customer needs and competitor activities
Leadership in regular Commercial cadence meetings
Effectively mentor and manage the Commercial Sales team
Requirements
3-5+ years' experience managing teams in a sales environment
An understanding of the paint industry would be advantageous, however is not essential
Sound commercial acumen
Knowledge of the building and construction industry
Experience managing people remotely will be beneficial
High level negotiation skills and influencing skills
