The successful candidate will play a fundamental part in the company’s journey toward becoming the UK’s leading multi-utility connector. The Sales Director will be the primary architect of the company’s market expansion. Reporting directly to the Board, the successful candidate will transform the firm’s sales function from a reactive bidding department into a proactive, high-performance growth engine targeting major UK developers and main contractors.
Job Responsibility:
Growth Strategy: Developing and executing a comprehensive national sales roadmap to increase market share within the sector
Pipeline Excellence: Overseeing the end-to-end business development lifecycle, from initial lead generation and networking to the final conversion of high-value multi-utility tenders
Key Account Management: Managing senior-level relationships with blue-chip housebuilders, industrial developers, and consultants, ensuring the firm remains the “provider of choice.”
Bid Leadership: Providing strategic direction to the estimating and proposals teams to ensure submissions are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with client needs
Leadership & Culture: Leading and mentoring a national team of Business Development Managers, fostering a target-driven culture rooted in technical expertise and exceptional service
Requirements:
A proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth within the UK Multi-Utility, Power, or Civil Infrastructure sectors
Deep familiarity with the UK housing market, industrial developments, and the regulatory frameworks of NERS, GIRS, and WIRS
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a history of building and motivating high-performing sales teams
An extensive existing network of contacts among Tier 1 contractors and major UK property developers
