The Renewals Manager will play a central role in overseeing the end-to-end renewal process for our commercial insurance clients. Working closely with account executives, underwriters, and support teams, you will ensure a seamless and efficient renewal cycle, balancing client needs with business objectives. You will need to be dynamic, organised, and results-driven, with a proven track record in managing renewal processes and a strong focus on customer retention and satisfaction. This role will suit someone who thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment, understands commercial insurance, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service while driving retention and growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage the renewal process for commercial insurance clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Coordinate with account managers, underwriters, and brokers to deliver competitive renewal terms and retain key business
  • Lead and support the renewals team, ensuring processes are followed consistently and effectively
  • Monitor client portfolios, track retention KPIs, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products
  • Implement initiatives to improve client experience and streamline renewal workflows
  • Support strategic planning for renewals, including forecasting and performance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-value renewals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a renewals, retention, or client management role, ideally within insurance or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and the renewal process
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
