Job Description

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is hiring an experienced Commercial Remodeling Technician / Project Craftsman to support tenant improvements, facility upgrades, and interior renovation projects. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoy seeing a project through from demo to finish, this is a strong opportunity.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on commercial renovation and improvement projects (offices, medical facilities, retail spaces, HOAs, and more)
  • Perform carpentry, drywall, framing adjustments, doors, and finish work
  • Install flooring, tile, fixtures, and interior build-out components
  • Assist with demo, layout, and rebuild phases of projects
  • Handle light plumbing and electrical tasks tied to remodel work
  • Read scopes, plans, and job notes to execute work accurately
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites (occupied environments)
  • Coordinate with project managers, office staff, and other trades
  • Provide job updates, photos, and documentation
  • Identify additional project needs and present estimates when appropriate

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, remodeling, or skilled trades (15+ preferred)
  • Experience with tenant improvements, build-outs, or interior renovations
  • Strong multi-trade skillset (carpentry, drywall, light plumbing/electrical)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a project team
  • Comfortable working in active commercial environments
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and code compliance
  • Excellent communication with property managers and clients
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Own tools required for project work
  • Located within Northern Virginia service area
  • Fluent English
