Commercial Refrigeration Installation / Start-Up Technician

• Power up and commission new commercial refrigeration systems, including: Supermarket rack systems
• Walk-in coolers and freezers
• Reach-in and display cases
• Program setpoints and verify functionality of major control systems such as: Emerson
• CPC
• Danfoss (and similar platforms)
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, electrical verification, and refrigerant charge adjustments
• Diagnose and resolve start-up issues related to electrical, piping, mechanical, or controls systems
• Verify systems meet manufacturer specifications, job requirements, and performance standards prior to turnover
• Document commissioning data, start-up conditions, deficiencies, and punch-list items
• Coordinate closely with installation crews, controls technicians, and project managers
• Support a smooth handoff to service and maintenance teams

• 2+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration installation, service, or start-up
• Strong working knowledge of: Rack refrigeration systems
• Condensers, evaporators, and controls
• Ability to properly troubleshoot and tune: Superheat and subcooling
• Airflow
• Refrigerant charge
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel regionally to job sites (per diem provided when applicable)
