Job Description:

Commercial Real Estate Program Analyst role in Multifamily Capital specializing in financing multifamily properties through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA programs. The position involves working closely with senior bankers to underwrite real estate, develop market understanding, and assist with client meetings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assembling complex financial models that project potential financial performance of assets
  • Researching specific real estate markets and assessing market data and trends
  • Identifying credit issues early in underwriting process
  • Preparing borrower/guarantor financial reviews
  • Writing memorandums focused on borrower's and guarantor's adjusted net worth, leverage, liquidity
  • Assist in developing pitches for prospective clients
  • Assist in developing transaction documents including term sheet, offering memorandum
  • Reviewing and assisting in development of loan agreements
  • Participating in property tours and site visits
  • Engaging vendors to facilitate ordering and analyzing third-party reports

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Relationship Management - Program experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ months of Real Estate underwriting experience or strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and core underwriting methodologies
  • Previous experience with agency financing and familiarity with the FNMA and Freddie Mac underwriting requirements
  • Ability to research market data and review real estate documents, including legal documents, offering memorandums, appraisals, PCAs and ESAs
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high-level proficiency in modeling
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with agency financing
